| SPOTLIGHT
ON THE LIBRARY |
| MARCH
2004
The library provides a variety of services and programs for the
community. One new collection is books on CD. Many people enjoy
listening to books in their cars/trucks on the commute to work or during
trips. One local business allows employees to listen to audio books on
the job. A friend recently told me she listened to a book while
stripping wallpaper. Some of the fifty new titles include: The
Runaway Jury, Q is for Quarry, Matchstick Men, Barbara Bush’s
Reflections, Dr. Phil McGraw’s Ultimate Weight Solution and Star Trek
Stone and Anvil. We will continue to add new titles.
For your convenience, the library now has shopping baskets and two
carts. As you enter the foyer, pick up a basket and load it with your
favorite books and videos. When you come to the check out desk, the
staff will provide bags for all your selections. Also, a wheel chair is
available for use in the library.
The tax season is here. We have many NYS and federal income tax
forms. Along with the bulk forms, we have several notebooks filled with
forms you can photocopy. If we don’t have a particular form, the staff
will assist you to search online. If you have specific tax related
questions, please contact your financial advisor or CPA. |

| The library is again
offering basic computer classes for adults. The classes are scheduled
through March. The sessions include: Basic Computer and Windows
Training, Getting Started on the World Wide Web and Getting Started with
Email. Call the library to reserve a place. The library has many
tutorials to help you learn how to use the computer and software
programs.
If you would like to go behind the scenes, come to the March 22 tour
at 7:00 pm. From the basement to the attic, you will visit places
normally closed to the public. You will learn about the history of the
library, the collection of materials and the latest technology.
The Wellsville Art Association is featuring its annual photography
show March 8 through March 26 in the exhibition room. There is a diverse
group of photographs displaying the talents of local artists. |
