OUR
MISSION
The David A. Howe Public Library
provides books and other materials of popular interest and permanent
value for the informational and recreational needs of all ages. Programs and services encourage reading and research for
students starting with the preschool level.
The library facilities afford a meeting place for cultural,
social, and educational opportunities.
“Use it wisely,
enjoy it freely.” |

VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers
donated 606 hours over the year shelving books and videos, sorting
periodicals, mending books, maintaining database files, and doing a
variety of clerical tasks. |
| FRIENDS
OF THE LIBRARY
The Friends of the Library is an auxiliary group
of volunteers that assists the library.
The Friends buy books, videos, and compact discs for the library.
They also sponsor the annual tree trim, story hours, and summer
reading programs. Anyone
may join the Friends of the Library by making a financial contribution. |
