| It's important to us that we answer
your questions. |
Dear Community Member:
The 2012 Library Proposition is an opportunity for Wellsville School
District residents to vote upon and preserve one of the nation’s best
returns on library services.
Your library cares about our community. This is why the library is so
committed to maintaining its current level of service while planning for
future community needs. The library’s endowment provides a high level of
service at a very low cost. If we compare our library with similar-sized
libraries in Upstate New York, it is clear that our community pays about
320% less for library services.
At the price of about 92 cents per week, community residents can
guarantee they never have to pay such a high cost. The library tax in
the Wellsville School District represents 1% of the entire tax bill for
a property owner. However, any family that uses the library fully knows
the library’s impact is much more than one percent.
The Library Board encourages residents to take the time to review all
information regarding this year’s proposition. It is important to us
that we answer your questions. We also want you to exercise your right
to vote upon this important resolution.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Donald Comstock, Library Board President
David A. Howe Public Library
